As global trade dynamics continue to evolve, it is increasingly important for Illinois Farm Bureau® leaders and stakeholders to proactively engage with key international markets. The Market Study Tour to Mexico presents a timely and strategic opportunity to deepen our understanding of one of our most critical trading partners. Mexico consistently ranks among the top export destinations for Illinois and U.S. agricultural commodities and in 2024, U.S. agricultural exports to Mexico reached $30.2 billion, with Illinois alone contributing nearly $3.6 billion in agricultural products. Participants will expand their understanding of the US-Mexico trade relationship, identify potential barriers and opportunities for growth, which can inform future policy and promotional efforts.
