  • The Creator Cultivation Series 

     Thank you for your interest in applying for the Creator Cultivation Series! This is a year-long experience to train up-and-coming social media creators in sharing the story of Illinois agriculture online and beyond.

    Throughout the year, members of this cohort will receive in-depth training about building your brand, the ins and outs of content creation, reaching your audience, practicing together in real time, and much more. At the end of this series you should have the knowledge, tools, and confidence to continue growing your professional social media pages to be an expert voice for agriculture. 

    Meeting dates and times have already been established. Please make sure you can commit to being in person and online at the following times before submitting your application. 

    In Person - Friday, January 22nd, 2027: 9am - 4pm (Bloomington)

    In Person - Friday, February 26th, 2027: 9am - 4pm (Champaign)

    Virtual - Friday, March 19th, 2027: 12pm - 1pm

    In Person - Friday, April 9th, 2027: 9am-4pm (Bloomington)

    In Person - Friday, June 18th, 2027: 9am - 4pm (location TBD)

    In Person - Friday, August 13th, 2027: 9am - 4pm (Springfield, IL State Fair)

    Virtual - Friday, September 10th, 2027: 12pm - 1pm

    In Person - Friday, November 12th, 2027: 9am - 4pm (Bloomington)

    You will have the opportunity to hear from guest-speakers sharing their expertise, to network and build your own community, and create and work towards your own goals.

    The Creator Cultivation Series is designed for any farmer or agriculturist who has a desire to be an expert voice for Illinois agriculture and is eager to become more active sharing their perspective and engaging on social media. These individuals should already be familiar with navigating popular social media platforms and have established profiles on at least one platform.

    This application will be open from September 15th, 2026 through December 18th, 2026. Applicants will be notified if they have been chosen for the 2027 Creator Cultivation Series by January 7th, 2027. 

    You do not have to be a farmer to apply, but you must be a Farm Bureau member, reside in Illinois, and have knowledge of Illinois agricutlure and/or modern farming practices. Applicants must be 18 years of age by January 1st, 2027. Collegiate Farm Bureau members are also encouraged to apply.
